Flexjet Overview

Flexjet is one of the largest private aviation companies, operating its own fleet of approximately 340 aircraft. It is owned by Directional Aviation, which also owns Nextant Aerospace, Sentient Jet, FXAIR, 4AIR, The Jet Business and PrivateFly.

It offers fractional jet ownership, leases and jet cards. Designed for travelers who fly 50+ hours per year, fractional jet ownership allows you to purchase equity in a specific Flexjet aircraft. The Flexjet team handles every trip detail, from catering to maintenance; all you have to do is tell them where you’re going and when you want to leave. Flexjet also offers leases with similar access as the fractional program, but with payments spread out over the lease term.

In 2019 Flexjet introduced Flexjet World Access, a day based program, for shares in the Gulfstream G650. A quarter share provides 75 days of access a year. In 2022 Flexjet added a helicopter service, including complimentary helicopter transfers for its Gulfstream G650 fractional owners. SherpaReport looked inside Flexjet's operations center. In 2025, Flexjet raised $800m in equity investment, which it plans to use on infrastructure such as branded private terminals, growing the fleet, including ultra-long-range aircraft, and Flexjet-branded experiences like their Chairman's Club events.
