Equity Residences Acquires Terranea Resort Villa and Big Sky Resort Mountain Home

Equity Residences has announced two new home acquisitions for Equity Platinum Fund 2: a luxurious, oceanfront villa at Terranea Resort in Southern California and a classic, ski-in/ski-out home in Big Sky, Montana. The residences are located in two of the most requested destinations identified in recent investor surveys.

Fund Background

The Equity Platinum Fund 2 is raising $50 million from accredited investors to acquire 16 multi-million-dollar, luxury, investment homes in top-tier vacation destinations. In addition to these two recent additions, the Fund owns elegant homes in Mykonos, Anguilla, Costa Rica, Punta de Mita, and Mauna Lani on Hawaii’s Big Island as it continues to build a diverse portfolio of prime real estate in some of the world’s most sought-after destinations. Investors have priority access to the homes in their particular fund, and can also reserve vacations in homes owned by the other funds in the Equity Residences family.

Equity Residences Terranea villa

Terranea Resort Villa - Southern California Acquisition

Set above the coastal bluffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, just half an hour from downtown Los Angeles, the Terranea Resort villa is a true Southern California retreat offering three-bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and gracious outdoor living areas. The expansive terraces provide sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, and the rolling greens of  The Links at Terranea, the resort’s par-3 oceanfront golf course. The villa’s Mediterranean-inspired design brings a sense of understated elegance, with sunlit interiors, graceful archways, and a private courtyard centered on a fireplace.

The fund villa boasts a private jacuzzi, a fully equipped kitchen, and an inviting open layout that is ideal for family vacations. Days can be spent golfing, whale watching along the bluffs, exploring tidepools, and kayaking the rocky coves below. Disneyland, Hollywood, and the best of Los Angeles are also within easy reach, making this one of the most versatile and requested destinations in the Equity Residences portfolio.

Equity Residences Black Eagle Big Sky MT

Big Sky Ski-in/Ski-out Mountain Home - Montana Acquisition

Big Sky has consistently ranked as one of the top destinations requested by Equity Platinum Fund 2 investors. Now they will enjoy a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom alpine retreat that sits slopeside in the heart of Big Sky Resort’s Mountain Village with ski-in/ski-out access via the Poma lift.

Spanning 3,033 square feet across three levels, the home is designed for gatherings of all sizes, the main floor features vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, a dramatic stone fireplace, chef’s kitchen, spacious master suite and an outdoor hot tub with dramatic mountain views. Upstairs, two guest bedrooms, two baths, and a lofted office offer both privacy and convenience. On the lower level, a private bunkroom with ensuite bath is perfect for kids or larger groups.

Outside the home, Big Sky delivers year-round appeal. In winter, there is direct access to world-class ski terrain, with après-ski venues, dining, and rental shops just steps away. In summer, hiking, mountain biking, golf, and fly fishing bring the mountains to life. Yellowstone National Park is only an hour’s drive, adding another layer of adventure.

With thoughtful design, unbeatable location, and four seasons of recreation, the Big Sky villa captures everything Fund investors asked for in a mountain destination.

Equity Platinum Fund 2 continues to grow in accordance with investor feedback. Terranea offers West Coast investors a highly accessible oceanfront retreat with resort amenities, while Big Sky checks the top-tier mountain destination box, providing year-round recreation and true slopeside living.

The two new acquisitions align with the Equity Residences fund’s strategy of delivering diverse, complementary luxury experiences for investor families and accommodating multi-generational gatherings.
