Destination M Adds Multiple Homes

The destination club, Destination M has just completed one of its largest expansions in its history with the addition of 4 new homes and a controlled number of new members over the last few months.

Latest Acquisitions

The recent home additions came from Edmonton-based destination club, LUXUS, whose Premium Funds 1 and 2 have been winding down. With the purchase of the new homes, Destination M opened up a treasury offer to their waitlist members, which included some former LUXUS investors.

Darwin and Diane Bozek, from Stony Plain, Alberta love to travel with family and friends, and had been part of LUXUS and now, Destination M. Three years ago, they took the opportunity to join Destination M because of the portfolio of homes and Destination M’s operating model. “We love the access to amazing properties that we otherwise would probably not experience and the quality of the homes and their locations are amazing. For us it has been a great way to diversify our portfolio and enjoy access to properties all over the world while vacationing in style.”

Darwin and Diane say they are also impressed with the ease of booking the homes using the member only portal and have averaged approximately 60 days of travel in the last few years thanks to Destination M’s unique “Space Available” opportunity that allows members to book a property if it is available within 30 days of departure at no cost to their plan days.

Destination M now owns/operates 22 homes with the addition of four new homes in Canmore, Alberta, Rancho Mirage, California, San Diego/Mission Beach California and Tuscany, Italy.

Destination M members are currently enjoying vacations in these new properties in Canmore and Rancho Mirage after the club refreshed the homes. Destination M is currently renovating the San Diego/Mission Beach property and expects to open it and the Tuscany villa to members in late spring 2025.

Canmore, Alberta

This top-floor residence (pictured above) in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains at the award-winning Solara Resort & Spa elevates the traditional mountain retreat. Rancho Mirage, California

Located in the heart of the Palm Springs Valley, this 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom home offers an open floor plan, a gourmet kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and a games room featuring a pool table. The backyard (pictured above) features a detached casita, spacious lanai, and a refreshing salt water pool and spa. M Members now own three beautiful homes in the Greater Palm Springs area.

San Diego/Mission Beach, California

This second floor, 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo on Mission Beach features two ocean front patios, with breathtaking views from both the living room and primary bedroom. Located midway between La Jolla and downtown San Diego, Mission Beach stretches nearly two miles along the sparkling Pacific Ocean.

Tuscany, Italy

Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany lies a restoration of the 14th century intimate hamlet of Borgo di Vagli. This rural haven retains much of its original structure without compromising modern-day luxuries and comfort. The Destination M villa is a restored 14th century home only a 20-minute drive from the town of Cortona. This home in the countryside has 2 bedrooms and would make a great addition for a trip to Europe.

With these recent additions, Destination M members have access to 44 homes in total, of which 22 are owned/operated by Destination M and the others are partner reciprocal homes. They span the globe from Canada, the US, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East.

Not for Profit

Destination M operates on a not-for-profit basis which is unique amongst destination clubs. The club is fully owned by its members and annually M budgets on a break-even basis to cover all the costs to operate the company and properties, with no added fees, except cleaning fees. Current pricing for a share plan in M starts at C$202,500 and provide 21 days of planned travel per year, plus unlimited short-term travel if properties are available within 30 days. The annual dues start at C$19,950.

Try Before You Buy

Destination M uses a waitlist, which lets prospective investors try out the club and visit the homes before making a major commitment. The waitlisted members are then invited to join the club when a new home is acquired, with their investment effectively funding the purchase of the acquired home, as part of M’s shared co-op ownership model.
