NetJets is offering a new jet card on the midsize Cessna Citation XLS. This limited-quantity NetJets One Card is designed for flexible travelers, since it features 90 black out days, but the pricing is very competitive if your travels offer this flexibility.

NetJets XLS

Cessna Citation XLS

The midsize Citation XLS is one of the bestselling private jets of all time. It accommodates up to seven passengers and reaches half the country in three to four hours, with a total range of 4:15 hours or about 1,600 nm. It also provides 79-cubic-feet of baggage capacity. NetJets has offered the Citation XLS in its programs for many years and has about 75 of these aircraft in its current fleet, although for many years this was the most abundant aircraft in the fleet with well over a 100 when they were the core model.

Patrick Gallagher, President, Sales, Marketing, and Service said “NetJets continues to see strong demand in the market from individuals who want a guaranteed solution with the finest fleet in private aviation. As an alternative to charter solutions, this limited quantity Card offers immediate entry into our program and access to the midsize XLS for those with flexible travel schedules, which is why we believe it will be a desirable travel solution.”

NetJets One Card Program

As with other jet cards from NetJets, this new “One Card” is purchased in 25-hour increments which must be used over 24 months. The notice time to book a flight is as little as 48 hours’ for domestic flights, and card holders can interchange into different size aircraft with downgrades (eg into light jets) guaranteed and upgrades (eg into super-mids) based on availability.

The key feature of this card is that there are 90 no-fly days per calendar year. These are typically days surrounding holidays and special events when the anticipated demand for aircraft is particularly high. So, if you travel a lot over holiday periods this is not the jet card for you, but if you have some flexibility then this could be an interesting way to fly on the NetJets fleet.

This is the lowest priced jet card that NetJets offers, with an all-in fixed price of $225,000, inclusive of FET, fuel and variable fees. Other jet cards from NetJets start at approximately $280,000 and these come with 45 no-fly days.
