Magellan Jets Adjusts Jet Cards Adds Wyvern Certification

Magellan Jets, a provider of private aviation solutions, has refined its jet card products with generally lower hourly rates, fewer advanced booking days and a bigger discount for round trips. They have also been through an audit and become a certified WYVERN Wingman Broker.

Jet Card Changes

Magellan Jets offers two types of jet cards. There are cards on specific jet models such as the Phenom 300 and also cards on jet categories, such as light jets, mid-size jets etc.

Magellan positions the jet specific cards as a premium product with all inclusive pricing and just 20 advance booking days. Key features on these cards include:

  • Choice of preferred aircraft: clients with a preference in jet type can opt for a Phenom 300, Challenger 300/350, or Gulfstream 450/550.
  • All-inclusive pricing: hourly rates are inclusive of all fees including fuel, catering, Wi- Fi, repositioning, and de-icing.
  • Fewer advanced booking days: just 20 advanced booking days annually.
  • Long leg & round-trip savings: flights over 4 hours or round-trips benefit from 10% lower hourly rates.

The other jet card from Magellan is cabin-specific and is designed for travelers seeking a range of aircraft sizes and types, with the flexibility to include only the benefits that are most important to them. Key features include:

  • Reduced hourly rates: Magellan has lowered rates, typically by a few hundred dollars an hour. Rates start at $6,550 on light jets exclusive of FET and fuel surcharge.
  • Round-trip savings: round-trips benefit from 10% lower hourly rates.
  • Limited advanced booking days: with 40 advanced booking days annually.
  • Category upgrades: guaranteed upgrades for interchange are available with no surcharges.

All the jet cards continue to be refundable, include 365-day guaranteed availability with no blackout dates, offer the ability to utilize multiple aircraft in the same day and allow for call out times as low as 24-hours.

Anthony Tivnan, President of Magellan Jets said "Our asset-light business model enables us to adapt quickly to market changes and consistently deliver unparalleled service."

With charter flight demand lower than the peak of the pandemic, we’re seeing lower pricing, including lower jet card hourly rates.

Wyvern Certification

Magellan Jets has recently been certified as a WYVERN Wingman Broker. To attain this certification, Magellan Jets underwent an audit by an experienced and internationally accredited aviation safety auditor to assess its adherence to rigorous ethical, safety, and legal standards.

“Safety has been at the center of our business since day one. For us, it’s an enduring core value – creating a safety culture that drives operational decisions and strengthens the trust and relationships we have with our clients,” said Matthew Harris, Chief Operating Officer of Magellan Jets and Board Member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation. “We’re proud to have earned this elevated level of certification from such a respected organization as it provides strong validation for our continued commitment in our safety management process.”

“WYVERN created the Wingman Broker program to provide the world’s premier Charter Brokers an opportunity to demonstrate that not only do they comply with all regulatory requirements, but that they have chosen to go above and beyond to include safety and ethics among their core values,” stated Andrew Day, Senior Vice President, Operations at WYVERN. “The entire Magellan Jets team is to be commended for their efforts in establishing such high values in an industry that demands transparency,” Day continued.
