Air Charter Service Has Record Year in 2025

Aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service (ACS), had a record-breaking year in 2025, with 35,467 charter flights – representing 17% growth over 2024. The charter flights include private jets, large commercial jets and cargo flights.

Air Charter Service’s CEO, Justin Bowman, noted that the company had broken several other records along the way in 2025. He highlighted “For instance, ACS-chartered aircraft flew into, or out of, 2,323 IATA or ICAO recognised airports last year, along with hundreds more non-designated airfields, such as dirt runways, ice runways, helipads and even water landings. These airports spanned 206 separate countries – to put the number into perspective, American Airlines operates to 350 destinations in 63 countries, which is more than any other international airline.”

ACS is a charter broker and doesn’t operate its own fleet of aircraft. Commenting on the operators that it partners with, Justin Bowman noted, “We couldn’t have chartered any of these without the wonderful airlines and operators that we work with, last year we joined forces to book aircraft with 1,348 of them on behalf of our clients. Our charters were on aircraft ranging from helicopters, all the way up to Airbus A380s and the huge Antonov 124 cargo aircraft – with a total of 4,718 separate aircraft and 389 different types in 2025.”

In terms of passenger numbers, the company transported 437,368 passengers. While the most popular private jet was the Phenom 300, with more than 430 flights on this aircraft type.

Its cargo and freight division transported almost 90,000 tons of freight, with an average of just over 20 tons per flight. The Boeing B747-400F was the most popular cargo aircraft, with more than 350 operations carried out, some with payloads of over 100 tons.

Breaks its Longest Flight Record

During 2025, Air Charter Service, broke its record for the longest flight in the company’s history, then six days later, broke it again.

The flights were two charters for the same client. The first was from Dallas Fort Worth to Sydney on an Airbus A380, taking off late Monday night Texas local time, and arriving late morning on Wednesday, Australian time, covering 8,578 miles (13,804 km).

The following week, they bettered that new record when an ACS-chartered B-787-9 Dreamliner flew directly from Perth to Los Angeles, on a flight that lasted almost 17 hours, and covered 9,318 miles (14,997km), close to two-fifths of the world’s circumference. The aircraft took off from Perth at 2:30am local Australian time and landed at 4:10am local Californian time on the same day.

Matthew Purton, Group Aviation Services Director, commented, “The distance of the charter would place it in the top three longest scheduled service routes that are currently operating, only beaten by two Singapore Airlines routes, Newark and JFK to Singapore.”

Grows to 40 Offices Worldwide

Towards the end of 2025, ACS opened its 40th operation, with an office in Barcelona, Spain. This came after several new offices were opened around the world, including:

• Its first office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the capital city, Riyadh. Following the country’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA)’s recent decision to open the Kingdom’s private aviation sector to global charter companies.
• A new office in Perth, the company’s third operation in Australia. Following the success of offices in Sydney and Brisbane.
• A new office in Cologne, Germany, the company’s fourth in the country, complementing its charter operations in Frankfurt and Munich, and its ACS Time Critical headquarters, also in Frankfurt.
• Opening its doors in Montreal, Quebec, to complement its established Canadian operation in Toronto.
