Grand Resort Properties filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2010 in Omaha, Nebraska bankruptcy court. This destination club offered 5 equity ownership membership plans providing from 14 to 70 nights of use, plus has several non equity plans and a corporate plan.
The clubs eight homes were in Beaver Creek & Steamboat Springs, CO, Scottsdale, AZ and Montaluce, GA, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Lake of the Ozarks, MO and Marco Island, FL.
The club occasionally rented out its homes on a space available basis, to offset the membership costs. This had also been a way for the club to find new members or for potential members to try out the clubs homes.
